Strange Stories From Behind Closed Doors
Visit an exquisite Mdina palazzo and discover strange secrets from its fascinating past.
The evening will begin on the streets of Mdina before our small group enters the palazzo, where you’ll hear the legend of the French soldier who is said to have been thrown from its balcony.
You’ll be able to touch a piece of the True Cross upon which Jesus Christ was crucified, as certified by the Pope and found in the palazzo’s private chapel.
You’ll also see how slaves were kept close to the mistress of the house, and learn why a failed gambler, the son of a nun, had to shrink the palazzo in size.
The group will eventually arrive on the palazzo’s roof, to be greeted by a superb view of St Paul’s Square. Drinks will be served either there or in the stunning drawing room, said to be the largest in Mdina.
